I’m Ausra. The person in the photo and founder of Ausra Creates. I’m a brand and pattern print designer, creative dreamer and doer.

I'm Lithuanian, currently living in English countryside. I come from a very tiny (& beautiful) place settled by the Baltic Sea in Europe. With a population of 3 million people, 1/3rd of London itself. I like to keep things small and cosy - small wardrobe, home, small group of great friends. (Except for dreams and my art supplies - those can go out of control! :D)

Behind the scenes, I’m a mum of three most beautiful girls (and my biggest creations! :) Mia just under two years old! They are a huge inspiration and true creative power behind my work. You can feel this energy pulsing through the cute motifs and happy colour palettes :)

A graphic designer who fell in love with pattern design :)

I’m relatively new to the surface pattern design scene.

I’ve been graphic and brand designer for over a decade, working for someone else, building brands, packaging and assets. But I always felt something (the art part) was missing..

So decided to embrace my creativity - I said YES to the ART-founded Ausra Creates Studio and went on my own. (scary!)

Soon after, I discovered and I fell in love with designing pattern prints! In 2024 May I graduated Immersion, same year in December, I completed Repertoire. Since then I keep learning, discovering and growing. I'll never stop learning and making art!

I am an artist, a real person powered by coffee and creativity. With soooo many ideas and not enough time to execute them all!

I save my energy for the best ones, like those you have seen here. If I birth it into the world, it’s my best work.

Everything you’ve seen here has been drawn, designed brought to life by me and my own hands, from my heart to yours. I do not use AI art, clipart and any nonsense of this sort to create my art. That is my promise to you, otherwise what’s even the point or joy in creating?

I love creating analog in different medias including pencils, gouache, ink, watercolour, screen printing as well as drawing in vector and procreate. I love drawing wonky florals, cute animals, exploring the seasons and the feelings, having fun with abstract shapes and colour combinations.

my love for textiles & interiors

I've grown up around beautiful fabric, as my mum is a maker too. I've learned a thing from her, I made few pieces of my own and I know the hard work that goes in every stitch of every piece you create. Years passed, and here I am - designing beautiful fabrics for you and your businesses!

I love creating the feeling of home, bringing the sense, energy, colour into the room. When we moved into our own home, every single wall ceiling and corner of it was WHITE! I had these massive blank canvas to create on! I started teaching myself how to paint walls. With very light grey shades at first, (I was scared!) but slowly, my confidence grew and my colour palette went oh much bolder! I can tell you - today there's not a lot of white space left in our home! :D And today my drawings turn into objects that live beyond my home and the studio, artworks and wallpaper that you can bring into your homes and live with every day, decorate homes of your clients with. :)

Each of my prints is produced with love to be a lasting object, something made to be lived with not stored or hidden away.

Everyday I get to be more creative. More fun. More … weird. (You know, the good kind). I love all things arty and if I could just design and create things with my hands all day, I would!

I embrace being different. And reaching for things that scare me. Because if you don’t, you never know what’s out there!
